Ghosts and goblins, Halloween is near! This is becoming one of my favorite times of year to see everyone’s creativity come out. Save your money for candy corn and fun size candy bars to give the trick-or-treaters with these budget friendly costume ideas using things you have around the house.
Wrap yourself from head to toe in toilet paper. When you get home from trick-or-treating, you can decorate your yard, or maybe your neighbors!
Flo from Progressive Insurance
Whether you love these commercials or hate them, everyone knows Flo! All you need is a white polo shirt, white apron, paper name tag with “Flo” written on it, blue marker, wide head band and red lip stick.
Put on your best dancing boots, your favorite jeans/overalls and the biggest belt buckle you can find along with a plaid shirt and cowboy hat.
Couple’s Costume Idea, Publisher’s Clearing House Winner
The man should dress in a suit and tie and the woman should dress as if she just got out of bed with hair rollers, bathrobe, slippers and a coffee cup. Have the man carry the check and balloons.
Costume Idea for a Group of Five, “The Great Lakes”
Find friends to wear blue shirts and in black marker or fabric paint, each person selects a lake – Superior, Michigan, Huron, Erie or Ontario to write on the front of their shirt. I love this Michigan themed costume idea!
